kemet boutros-ghali foundation appreciates the efforts of president abdel fattah el-sisi to support the stability of africa

Cairo - Egypt | Thursday, August 29, 2019:

The Kemet Boutros-Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge appreciated President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's tireless efforts to support the stability of Africa and to achieve sustainable development that will benefit our people by promoting constructive and equal cooperation with the countries of the world. In a statement on Thursday, the Foundation pointed out what President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said during the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 7), currently held in Yokohama, chaired by Egypt and Japan, that African cooperation with the world should be based on the common interests of all our people. Especially since Africa with its natural and human resources is the "lunch basket in the world", especially for European countries. The Foundation said it supports this move and constructive approach, while noting the dangers posed by the insistence of some European countries so far to transfer their hazardous waste to Africa to be the continent "a basket for its waste and not the food basket of the world."

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, chairman of the African Union (AU), chaired with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe the TICAD 7 summit, which runs until Friday, following his participation in France at the G7 summit, which also discussed renewing partnership with Africa in a more equitable manner, as well as its participation in last July's Extraordinary African Summit in Niger. The Kemet Boutros-Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge organized an international seminar last July under the title "Africa is the world food basket", during which it stressed the importance of promoting and promoting inter-African cooperation at all levels, in order to achieve the sustainable development included in Agenda 2063. As well as the need to achieve the aspirations of peoples in economic integration, and the unification of visions and goal among the countries of the continent; to achieve a better future at all levels and openness to the world.
