Speculation abounds about the post-Ukraine world order, with there being a widespread belief that the international system that the world has experienced since the 1990s will not be the same after the war in Ukraine.

There is no consensus on what shape the post-Ukraine world order could take, though some observers tend to imagine it in the historical context of the Cold War. This means that two “superpowers” will compete for hegemony over world affairs, politically, economically, and financially.
