The foundation's annual ceremony 2023

The Foundation held its annual ceremony on Sunday, coinciding with the birth month of Dr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali, former Secretary-General of the United Nations, marking the centenary of his birth this year. The event was attended by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine El-Kabbaj, along with a number of diplomats, intellectuals, political figures, and media personalities.

During the ceremony, the Foundation honored the winner of its award, Mr. Mohamed Benaissa, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Culture of the Kingdom of Morocco, in recognition of his distinguished role and contributions to diplomacy and the culture of peace.

The Foundation also honored Mr. Mohamed Fayek, former Minister of Information and former President of the National Council for Human Rights, for his lifelong dedication to African issues and human rights.

Additionally, the Foundation announced the winners of its Academic Excellence Awards in the fields of International Law and African Relations and Systems at Egyptian universities. The recipients were:

Habiba Tarek, who earned the highest grade in the French section with distinction and honors from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science.
Kerlis Anis, who graduated with distinction and honors from the English section of the same faculty.
For the African Studies Award:

First place went to Dr. Islam Mohamed
Second place to Dr. Abeer Mohamed
For the International Law Award:

First place went to Dr. Mahmoud El-Sharkawy
Second place to Dr. Heba Salama Abu Kalila.
