The Kemet Boutros-Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge commemorates the tenth anniversary of the passing of Dr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali.

Today, the Kemet Boutros-Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge marks the tenth anniversary of the death of Dr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali. A distinguished academic, diplomat, and statesman, he left us with a precious legacy of learning, knowledge, and expertise whose influence extended beyond the borders of his country.

Dr. Boutros-Ghali had clear goals and an enlightened vision of what his country could achieve. He was one of the most ardent advocates of international peace and security, a supporter of development in the Third World, a defender of Egyptian and Arab rights, and a strong proponent of Egyptian-African relations, convinced that Africa is the continent of the future.

Dr. Boutros-Ghali is regarded as a major figure in Egyptian and international diplomacy. He left a significant mark in every position he held: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, the first Arab and African to serve as Secretary-General of the United Nations, Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie, and finally President of the Egyptian National Council for Human Rights. In each of these roles, his presence and vision had a global impact.

The foundation that bears his name reaffirms its commitment to preserving his rich legacy and to introducing new generations to his ideas and achievements.
