kemet boutros-ghali awards its annual prize to amre moussa
The Kemet Boutros-Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge has awarded its annual prize to Amr Moussa, former Egyptian Foreign Minister and former Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, in recognition of his long-standing dedication to political and diplomatic service in support of the nation.
Mamdouh Abbas, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, stated that the Foundation is honoring this year the legacy of Amr Moussa — a distinguished Egyptian figure with a remarkable history in national, Arab, African, regional, and international diplomacy and politics.
He highlighted that Amr Moussa served as the Chairman of the Committee of Fifty, which drafted Egypt’s 2014 Constitution. He described him as a charismatic and widely respected public figure who successfully conveyed his positions to the broader public.
Mamdouh Abbas also recalled Amr Moussa’s strong stances on the Arab-Israeli conflict, which particularly resonated with popular sentiment both in Egypt and across the Arab world. Even after leaving official positions, Moussa remained deeply involved in national issues, continuing to play a distinguished role as a patriotic figure marked by dignity and a commitment to the advancement of Egyptian, Arab, and African peoples.
