The Kemet Boutros-Ghali Foundation for Peace and Knowledge
announces the opening of applications for the Scientific Excellence Award,
granted to the best PhD dissertations submitted to Egyptian universities in the following fields:

Public International Law and International Organization
(for dissertations submitted in 2023 and 2024)

First Prize: EGP 100,000
Second Prize: EGP 75,000
African Studies
(including History, Political Science, and African Regional Organizations, for dissertations submitted in 2023 and 2024)

First Prize: EGP 100,000
Second Prize: EGP 75,000
Applicants must submit a PDF copy of their dissertation, along with:

A curriculum vitae
A certificate from the awarding faculty, indicating the date the degree was obtained

Submissions must be sent via email to: boutrosghaliprize@kemetbbg.org
Deadline: October 1, 2025

A scientific committee will be formed by the Foundation to review the submitted dissertations and select the winning entries.

The prizes will be awarded at the Foundation’s Annual Ceremony, to be held on November 14, 2025.
