The Foundation celebrated the annual party organized today, Sunday, in the birth month of Dr. Boutros Boutros-Ghali, the former Secretary-General of the United Nations. This year marks the first centenary of his birth in the presence of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine Kabbaj, and several diplomats, intellectuals, politicians, and media representatives.
KBBG honored the winner of the Foundation Award, Mohamed Benaissa, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Culture of the Kingdom of Morocco, for his distinguished role and contribution to the field of diplomacy and the culture of peace.
The Foundation also honored Minister Mohamed Fayek, former Minister of Information and former President of the National Council for Human Rights, for his extended career in defense of African issues and human rights.
During the ceremony, the Foundation announced the winners of university and scientific excellence awards in Egyptian universities in international law, relations, and African systems. This year's recipients were the student Habiba Tariq, who obtained the highest degree in the French division with honors at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, and Kerlis Anis, who received an honors degree with rank Honors in the English Division of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science.
Regarding the African Studies Award, Dr. Islam Muhammad won first place, and Dr. Abeer Muhammad won second place. As for the International Law Award, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Sharqawi won first place, and Dr. Heba Salama Abu Kalila won second place.
